Hello Fellow Fashion Addicts,
First of all let me say thank you for reading and following my blog! I hope you find it to be useful, informative, and fun! I hope that while you read my blog you are inspired and use Fashion_Addict as a creative outlet! My name is Emily Perkins! I'm a graduate of The Art Institute of Charlotte where I received my degree in Fashion Marketing. I have always had a passion for fashion and I knew I wanted to be part of this world since the first time I picked up an issue of Teen Vogue at the age of 12. As I flipped through the glossy pages and I was captivated by the colorful pictures, the unique designs, the eye-popping advertisements, and the compelling articles. It's almost as if Fashion chose me! For me it was never an options and there was never a doubt in my mind that this is what I wanted to do with my life! My ultimate career goal is to one day become a prestigious fashion stylist! I want to work for the mother of all fashion magazines that is often referred to as the fashion bible, Vogue! I have an eye for style and I LOVE to dress up models! It's like dressing Barbie, but oh-so-much-more fun! My father has always told me that if I got up every day and dreaded going to work, that I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be doing with my life. Being a stylist is EXACTLY what I should be doing with my life. I find myself constantly writing down inspirations for photo shoots, doing concept boards, puling images from the internet and fashion magazines, and blog hopping for ideas and inspiration. To me inspiration is in every corner, in even the most abstract of things. This is why I created Fashion_Addict. I truly am addicted to any and all things fashion and I needed an outlet for my inspiration. Without this blog my head would literally be exploding with information. My hopes are that other fashion addicts stumble upon my blog and take from it whatever they can. This blog is my baby and I hold it near and dear to my heart. I'm absolutely crazy about this industry and I want to share what I know, love, and cherish most about it with anyone who is willing to listen. This is my passion. This is my calling.
