If You Love TO Style, You're Gonna Love Looklet!

Well I've found THE website of my dreams! I mean I thought Polyvore was the shiz but it surely doesn't hold a candle to looklet.com ! Even if you don't want to style you should still check it out! It's a TON of fun! The point of the FREE website is to create fashion looks and to do a little fashion social networking you can choose the model, the clothes, the accessories, the location and the photo editing options all with the click of a button! And the best part is that they look legit! It looks like you really went on a shoot and did this stuff! Looklet is perfect for fashion majors! It even gives you the option to see the look from front, back, and close up views! You can also search by designers and brands so if you wanted to create a lookbook you could do so using only items from a specific designer or store!! I sure wish I had known about this when I was in school! I created an 8 look lookbook in less than an hour!! below you'll see some of the things I did and hopefully these looks will inspire you to get your own looklet account :)

Pretty Little Liars: The Most Fashionable Young Females On Television

Young women everywhere are finding themselves drooling over the ensembles that Aria, Hannah, Emily, and Spencer are wearing! These characters truly are the epitome of young fashion. Since this abc family teen drama released in the summer of 2010, young girls everywhere have been glued to their TV screens every Monday night. These characters are influencing how tweens everywhere dress and the lady behind it all is costume designer Mandi Line. Mandi's inspiration for designing the show's wardrobe was to create "obtainable fashion looks" for the characters. With fast fashion becoming the new normal, it comes as no surprise to me that this trend has begun to catch on in the television styling world as well. Mandi stated to the writers of stylelist.com  "What I like to do is ask (myself), 'Where would this character shop in real life?' From there, Line creates looks that combine retail and thrift. Perhaps this is why so many young women are so drawn to the looks they see on PLL. Whatever the draw may be, this show truly has influenced a new age bracket and has encouraged individualistic style from an even younger age. Say goodbye to those awkward middle school years where fashion is a mystery and say hello to a new tribe of tweens who enjoy rocking the current trends along with the rest of us! So my pretty little addicts, if you like what you see on the character of PLL, you can more than likely find it at H&M, Forever21 or any of your other fave fast fashion spots :) I'll be posting inspiration looks based on each of the characters and their style to show my readers how to get the PLL look for cheap!

I'm going a little cray cray for this new GaGa Harper's Bazaar shoot!

I have yet again fallen head over (6 inch) heels in love with GaGa's most recent photo shoot! This time with Harper's Bazaar! What I love most about this shoot vs. previous GaGa shoots is how much fun she seems to be having! These photos don't follow the same trend, there is no common theme, it doesn't tell a story its just straight GaGa and thats why it's so amazing! I found these on gagadaily.com

Wedding season in upon us!

And because of this I have been on the look out for new trends in wedding planning... While researching 2011 wedding trends I stumbled upon something that I immediately fell in love with! The personalized hanger! These are soooo cute and even though they are just a teeny tiny part of the biggest day of a girls life I think they are pretty awesome! If you're struggling to find a unique gift to give at a wedding shower... well these are the perfect things to give! Not only are they non-returnable :) BUT they also show the bride and groom that you put more thought into your pre-wedding gift and didn't just head over to the closest Target to buy them a waffle iron or knife set off their generic gift registry... not to mention this kind of thing could become a family heirloom... perhaps this couple has a boy.. the mother could pass it down to her future daughter-in-law someday and so on and so forth! I think these are a wonderful and unique aspect to any wedding! Not to mention the bride can have them made for each of her bridesmaids too :) and they make for a great "getting ready" photo op! Just check them out! And did I mention how cheap they happen to be on www.etsy.com only $25 for a personalized hanger!
